Grounded, Collaborative Care
Welcome, and thank you for stopping by. Your presence here is a courageous first step toward healing.
About Me
Greetings! I am a licensed clinical psychologist and native Brooklynite based in New York City. I earned my doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the George Washington University School of Professional Psychology, and have over a decade of experience working with adults across the lifespan.
Many people come to therapy with me feeling stuck in difficult, familiar experiences without fully understanding why. You might notice yourself repeating the same dynamics in relationships, feeling disproportionately reactive, or knowing what you want to change but struggling to make it last.
Often, the issue isn’t insight. It’s that the pattern lives deeper than your immediate awareness.
I specialize in depth-oriented therapy that focuses on the underlying emotional and relational patterns that drive symptoms, not just the symptoms themselves.
My practice is psychodynamic and attachment-based, while integrating trauma-informed care and practical tools from CBT and DBT. I approach this work through an intersectional lens, recognizing that identity and systemic context shape our emotional lives as well. Together, we examine what truly belongs to you and what developed in response to the worlds you’ve had to navigate.
I strive to create a warm, grounded environment where you feel safe enough to explore the deeper layers of your experience, and look forward to partnering with you through your process of healing.
My Background
My clinical background includes extensive training in college and graduate counseling centers, as well as experience across a variety of settings, including hospitals, community care, and private practice.
I received clinical training at:
● Howard University (Externship)● GWU Hospital (Externship)● Hofstra University (Doctoral Intern)● Pratt Institute (Post-doctorate)
My doctoral research and clinical focus centers on culture, identity, and the cross section between these factors and mental health.
As a graduate of a performing arts high school and former dancer, creativity continues to shape my therapeutic approach. One unique aspect of my work is the integration of visual analogy and free association to help you make meaning of both long-standing and acute issues. I also incorporate somatic awareness as needed to support you in deepening your connection to yourself and your emotional experiences holistically.
My Clients
Clients with whom I work often seek support with:
● Anxiety
● Depression
● Trauma/Intergenerational Trauma
● Social Justice Concerns
● Identity/Sexuality
● Relationship challenges
● Boundary difficulties
● Career/Academic concerns ● Burnout
Individual Therapy
Individual sessions are 50–60 minutes in length and are conducted virtually, allowing you to engage in therapy from a private, comfortable space of your choosing anywhere in New York State.
Depth-oriented therapy tends to benefit most from a consistent weekly rhythm, which allows space for reflection, continuity, and meaningful progress over time. At the same time, I understand that schedules and life circumstances can vary, and we can discuss an arrangement that supports both the therapeutic process and the practical realities of your life.
Why Virtual Therapy ?
Many clients appreciate being able to meet from a private office, a quiet room at home, or another confidential space that fits naturally into their day. Without the added time and stress of commuting, virtual therapy can be easier to integrate into a busy schedule while preserving more time for work, family, or rest.
It's always a challenge to find a provider you can trust and meet with sustainably. Hopefully, you've found one.
In-Network Insurance
My practice is in-network with Aetna and it's affiliates:
● Meritain ● Nippon ● Columbia University● New School ● Fordham Student Insurance
Out-of-Network Insurance
Most major insurers offer out-of-network reimbursement—I’ll help by providing the necessary superbills.
Deductibles
Whether you're using in-network or out-of-network benefits, some plans require you to meet a deductible before coverage begins.
That means you'll pay out of pocket until that amount is met. Once met, your insurance will begin to cover a portion of your session cost.
Self-Pay and Sliding Scale
If you prefer not to use insurance, out-of-pocket payment via credit card, check, or Zelle is accepted.
My out of pocket rate, without insurance, is $250-$330 per individual session.
A limited number of sliding scale appointments may be available based on financial need.
This 50-60 min session will include:
An In-Depth Starting Point
We'll begin with a comprehensive conversation where I learn about your current concerns, personal history, relationships, and goals to understand the full context of what brings you to therapy.
A mutual sense of fit
We will assess whether working together feels aligned, supportive, and like a good relational match.
The foundation for ongoing work
After the first 1-3 sessions, we establish a consistent appointment time if we decide to move forward.
